Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jews, then for the Gentile.”
Salvation (Gk sótéria) means deliverance, rescue, bringing safely through or keeping from harm. This very verse and the next encompass the theme of the entire book: God’s gift of spiritual salvation and a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.
We are never to be ashamed of the gospel – the good news – that conveys the message of hope and life for all people. Is in this very gospel that has brought salvation – deliverance for you and I. We were bound slaves to the devil. Christ Jesus death and resurrection has brought
