White by Patrick Bryant Michael

White supremacists are closed minded folks gone wrong

lashing out

abusing

dark skinned folks, distaste for color, being headstrong

snowfalls

glistening

on mountaintops, attracting ski buffs, a torch song

waterfalls

sloshing

white swirls inspire taking a dip, life to prolong

schooners

sailing

on open waters, whitecaps mesmerize the throng

periods

in cycles

like the ebbs and flows of swift tides, we all belong

waiting

watching

to see the white of her eyes, her soul to be strong

yearning

getting

a sense of white clouds, wild dragons drifting along

daydreaming

about weddings

with white gowns, hiding secrets of passion gone wild

cooking

making

a coconut cake, white frosting, when baked, beguiled

shooting stars

the cosmos

on fire, the white of a comet is a love child

exploding

phosphorous

shines white when burning, churning atoms become riled

kaleidoscopes

seeing

rainbows, making white seem like all colors compiled

banging heads

seeing stars

a sense of white fills the head, like you are exiled

closeting

piety

wears a white collar, beliefs are not reconciled

blurring

moist

morning fog, car lights burning white to be profiled

rainy days

storm-clouds

overhead, sun pushing through, white lighting rod

smiling

baring

the teeth, white smiles beckon, giving a false facade

fishing

catching

a shiny scaled fish, white under the skin is cod

glowing

cocoons

open with a butterfly spreading its wings, laud

teaching

writing

done with white chalk, filling a blackboard to applaud

praying

seeing

ghosts of ancients, hallucinating about god

staying up

past midnight

watching the starlight burning white, drinking Pernod

living

dying

seeing a white light, appeasing the soul, oh! gawd.
